Verna Breaux

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary Catholic Church
in Raceland for Verna Benoit Breaux, 69, a native of Thibodaux and
resident of Raceland, who died Saturday at 10:15 a.m.

Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Thibodaux.

She was the mother of Mrs. Jimmy (Mildred) Fonseca, Mrs. Melvin (Ethel)
Ougel and Marvin "Noogie" Breaux; and sister of Rivere Benoit. She is
also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Felicien Breaux; parents,
Volsie and Celestine Toups Benoit; son, Malvin Breaux; brothers, Sidney,
Evest and Robert Benoit; and sisters, Mrs. Harry, (Bernadette) Chiasson,
Mrs. Nelson (Odela) Landry; Odessa Oncale and Nesesy Benoit.Falgout
Funeral Home, Raceland, was in charge of arrangements.
