Victoria Calais

Funeral services were to be held at 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Prompt
Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Victoria Colins Calais, 85,
a native of Galliano and resident of Golden Meadow, who died Wednesday
at 9:25 a.m.

Interment was in Hebert Mausoleum, Golden Meadow.

She was the mother of Floyd Callais and Esther Duplantis; sister of Mrs.
Alidore (Antoinette) Chabert, Mrs. John (Thersae) St. Pierre, Ashton,
Dorsellie, Antoine and Joseph Colins. She is also survived by 11
grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 27 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eves Calais; a son, Guill
Callais; parents, Emanuel and Valerie Bourg Colins; and brothers,
Edward, Edmond and Woodwell Colins.Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, is in
charge of arrangements.
