John Ruffino
Funeral services were today at St. Helena Catholic Church in Amite for John
Ruffino, 79, a native and resident of Amite, who died Tuesday at 5:45
p.m.Interment is in Colonial Mausoleum in Independence.He was the husband of
Grace P. Ruffino of Amite; father of Loretta Ruffino Cummings and Louis J.
Ruffino, both of Baton Rouge; and brother of Stella Terracina of Thibodaux,
Mary Checchin of McHenry, Ill., Lucy Costanza and Josie Burrell, both of
Amite, Pamela Alack of Hammond, Louis S. and Joe Ruffino, both of Baton
Rouge, Nunzio Ruffino of Amite, Sam Ruffino of Independence and Tony Ruffino
of New Orleans. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.McNeely Funeral Home, Amite, was in charge of
arrangements.
