Mertyle Verdun
A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Prompt, Succor Catholic
Church in Golden Meadow for Mertyle Verdun, 86, a native and resident of
Golden
Meadow who died Tuesday,
Dec. 25, 1990
at 11:28 p.m.
Visitation will be from .11 a.m. Thursday until funeral time Friday at
Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano. Interment will be in Cheramie Cemetery in
Galliano.
He was the husband of Frances Billiot Verdun; father of Viniss and Jay
Verdun,
Alfrida Richeaux, Pearline Ledet, Laura Mae Billiot, Laurcine Holmes and
Gloria Jarreau. He is also survived by 48 grandchildren, 71
great-grandchildren and
two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sons, Levi and Harris Verdun; daughters, Marie
and Lordia Verdun; parents, Simon and Augustine Billiot Verdun; brothers,
Willie,
Julien, Justelain, Peter Sr. and Paul Verdun; sisters, Jullienne Billiot and
Rosalie, Ceceil and Justila Verdun.
Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
