Louisa Bourg
Funeral services were held today at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie
for Louisa Schexnayder Bourg, 85, a native of Wallace and a resident of St.
James and Donaldsonville, who died Wednesday.Interment is in the church
cemetery.She was the mother of Ellwyn Abadie, Arthur J. Bourg and Lester J.
Bourg; and sister of Annabel Zeringue, Felicien, Francis and Roland
Schexnayder. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and many
great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur R.
Bourg; sisters, Aline Hymel, Noelie Zeringue, Stella and Laura Schexnayder;
and brothers, Henry Jr., Norbert, Laurent and Nelson Schexnayder.Memorial
donations may be made to a favorite charity.Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, New
Orleans, was in charge of arrangements.
