Wilfred Desormeaux
Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Philomena Catholic
Church in Labadieville for Wilfred Desormeaux, 63, a native of Lafayette and
resident of Labadieville, who died Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.Visitation is from 5
p.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Friday at
Landry's Funeral Home in Labadieville. Interment is in the church
cemetery.He was the husband of Mary Lou Guidry Desormeaux; father of Dale
Desormeaux of Labadieville and Carolyn Gauthreaux of Morgan City; and
brother of Dennis Desormeaux of Lafayette. He is also survived by four
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.He was preceded in death by his
parents, Thomas and Elda Desormeaux; and sisters, Solange Simon and Nellie
Newjabaver.
