Elsie Everritt
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Ponchatoula for Elsie Braun Becnel Everritt, 71, a native of
Vacherie and resident of Ponchatoula who died Saturday at Seventh Ward
General Hospital in Hammond.Visitation will be at Harry McKneely and Son
Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight; from 8 a.m. until
funeral time on Tuesday. Burial will be in Ponchatoula Cemetery.She was the
wife of Franklin "Sonny" Everritt; the mother of Raymond Braun; and the
sister of Ruby Braun. She is also survived by two grandchildren.She was
preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alexis Becnel; her first
husband, Otis Braun; and a brother, Numa Becnel.
