Mabel Zeringue
Funeral services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral
in Thibodaux for Mabel Brown Zeringue, 91, a native and resident of
Thibodaux; who died Sunday at 3 p.m.Visitation is from 4:30 until 10 p.m.
today and from 7:30 a.m. until funeral time Tuesday at Landry's Funeral Home
in Thibodaux. Interment is in St. Joseph cemetery.She was the mother of
Dorothy LeBlanc. She is also survived, by eight grandchildren, 16
great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in
death by her husband, Felicien Zeringue; parents, Charlie and Marie Toups
Brown; brothers, Tom, Willie, Henry ÒJackÓ, George, John, Theogene ÒTayÓ;
half brother, Earl ÒTutÓ Brown; and sisters, Ella Bozer, Justine Trosclair
and Corrine Hebert.CorrectionIn a death notice for Mabel Brown Zeringue
which appeared in MondayÕs paper, the names of her deceased children were
omitted. They are: daughter Ruby Richard; and sons, Eugene and Daniel
Zeringue.
