Maude Richard
Funeral services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Genevieve Catholic
Church in Thibodaux for Maude B. Richard, 95, a native of Thibodaux and
resident of Lafayette, who died Sunday at 5 a.m.Visitation is from 8 a.m.
until funeral time Tuesday at the church. Interment is in St. Joseph
Cemetery in Thibodaux.She was the mother of Betty Butcher of Lafayette and
Frank W. Richard of Baton Rouge; and sister of Anita Richard and Paula
Bourgeois, both of Thibodaux, and Marguerite Grabert of Raceland. She is
also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.She was
preceded in death by her husband, Aurelien Richard; parents, Wilfred and
Cora Bourgeois; brothers, Mark and Girard Bourgeois; and sister, Mrs.
Leonidas Gaude.Richard was a former Lafourche Parish teacher.Delhomme
Funeral Home, Lafayette, is in charge of funeral arrangements.Memorial
