Wellington Young
Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. today at Morning Star Baptist Church for
Wellington Young Sr., a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of
Thibodaux,
who died Tuesday at 2:55 p.m.
Visitation is at Terrebonne Funeral Home Chapel from 3-4 p.m. today.
Dismissal services are at 10 a.m. Friday with interment in the church
cemetery.
He was the husband of Thelma Young; father of Wellington Jr., Johnny, Paul,
Gerald and Robert Young, Joyce Young, Ann Marie Brown, Betty J. Brown, Lois
Young, Doris Wilson, Kathryn Frazier, Valerie Willis and Faye Hill and
brother
of Walter Young, Ella Mae Robinson and Bernice Marshall. He is also survived
by 33 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Luvenia Morgan Young;
son,
Ernest Young; brothers, Johnny and Willis Young, and sister, Evleyn Young
Green.
Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
