Paul Exkano
Funeral services are scheduled at 8 p.m. tonight at Payne Memorial A.M.E.
Church for Rev. Paul Leon Exkano, III, retired pastor of Allen Chapel A.M.E.
Church in Thibodaux, who died Wednesday at 9:45 a.m.Dismissal is Tuesday at
11 a.m. Interment is in Holt Cemetery.He was the husband by first marriage
of Doretha Smith of Los Angeles, Ca. and second marriage of Vether Guy
Exkano of Bogalusa; father of Ruth Humphrey, Betty Exkano, Paul Exkano,
Shirley Exkano Foster, Dorothy Lee Stubblefield, Anthony Exkano, Doris Dyer,
Billy Exkano and Jacqueline Rayford; brother of Rev. Ruth Chavalier, Mary
Jane Phillips, Rev. S.L. Exkano, Ella Mae Palmer, and Lucia E. Jackson. He
is also survived by 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.He was
preceded in death by his parents, Paul Exkano and Ruth Lester Exkano;
sisters, Albertine Jackson, Betty L. Exkano, and Pearl L. Exkano; and
brothers, Rev. William Exkano and Robert Exkano.Estelle J. Wilson, Mort., is
in charge of arrangements.
