Julia Rodrigue
Funeral services are scheduled for 8 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Baptist Church
in Donaldsonville for Julia R. Rodrigue, 52, a native and resident of
Donaldsonville, who died Thursday at 3:48 p.m.Visitation is at Mt. Zion
Baptist Church from 5:30 p.m. today until funeral time. Dismissal is at 10
a.m. Tuesday. Interment is in the church cemetery.She was the wife of Ernest
Rodrigue; mother of Shawn R. Sawyer of Labadieville, Gregory Ross Rodrigue
of Napoleonville, Diane R. Stewart, and Dewitt, Bryant, Byron, Christopher
Ross and Dwayne Rodrigue; stepmother of Sandra Dawkins, Patricia Holmes,
Bobby Rodrigue and Ernest Rodrigue; sister of Hilda Harris, Delores Johnson,
Jeanette Carter and Winston, Alphonse Ross, Harvey, Adolph and Anthony
Crayton. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and one great grandson.She
was preceded in death by her parents, Norway and Luberta Ross; brothers,
Samual Crayton and Nora Ross; and a sister, Leotha Ross Leonard.Williams &
Southall Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, is in charge of arrangements.
