Louvinia Blackledge
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Magnolia Baptist Church in
Schriever for Louvinia "Minner" R. Blackledge, 98, a native of Terrebonne
Parish and resident of Schriever who died Nov. 2, 1990 at 4:25 p.m.
Visitation will be 2:30-4 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home and from 4-8
p.m. at the church. Wake will be at 8 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be
in Halfway Cemetery in Gray.
She was the mother of William and Victoria Heads, Mabel Street and MayDell
Baptiste. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and
seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Phillip Anderson; second
husband, Daniel Blackledge; third husband, Eddie Heads; parents, Aaron
Robertson and Sophia Green Robertson; sons, Clarence Anderson and Charlie
Heads; daughters, Mayetta Anderson and Rosa Heads; brothers, Louis, Issac and
Aaron Robertson; sisters, Lizzie Harris, Thelma Verrett, Louise Johnson and
Rosana Robertson; and a grandson, Clarence Anderson Jr.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
