Edward Fields
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. today at St. John the
Evangelist Catholic Church in Thibodaux for Edward "Black" Fields, 87, a
native of Houma
and resident of Thibodaux who died
Oct. 27, 1990
at 11:30 a.m.
He was the father of Harry, Johnny and Emile Fields, Marie Thibodaux, Velma
Duet, Audrey Rupp and Joyce Traigle. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren
and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia Roger; father, Johnny Fields;
mother, Mirra Mayer; stepfather, Joseph Leblanc; son, Edward Fields,
daughter,
Mary Ann Fields; brothers, Adrien, Doville, Hayes, Jack, Ryder Fields and
Alcide and Joseph Filce; sister, Eunice Marcell; and step-brother, Raymond
Leblanc.
