Joseph Thomas Sr.
A funeral will be held at 8 p.m. today at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in
Supreme
for Joseph Thomas Sr., 81, a native and resident of Assumption Parish who
died Monday at 2 p.m.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the church. Dismissal will be at
11
a.m. Saturday with interment in the church cemetery.
He was the husband of Pearl Bates Thomas; father of Joseph Thomas Jr.;
brother of Eva Morris and Edward Burdis. He is also survived by 10
grandchildren and 23
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Thomas and Eva Burdis Thomas;
a son, Henry Thomas II; brothers, Clarence Thomas Sr. and Lawrence Thomas S.
Sr.
Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
