Henry Blanchard

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at
St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever for Henry Joseph Blanchard, 77,
a native of Bourg and resident of Schriever, who died at 12:30 a.m.
Tuesday.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. today at Landry's Funeral
Home in Thibodaux and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday.

Interment is in the church cemetery.

He was the husband of Sophie Pellegrin Blanchard; father of Linda
Benoit, Diane Eschete and Gayle Cope, all of Schriever; brother of Emile
Blanchard of Thibodaux, Alphnose Blanchard of Bourg and Adolph Blanchard
of Bridge City, and Edna Bascle and Lucille Robichaux of Bourg and Mae
Schouest of Schriever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse and Ezoline Matherne
Blanchard; one son, Daniel Paul Blanchard, and one grandson, Mark James
Benoit.

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The
family asks donation be made to the American Cancer Society.

Landry's Funeral Home, Thibodaux, is in charge of arrangements.
