Alma Rhines

Funeral services will take place at 8 p.m. Sunday at Morning Star
Baptist Church in Thibodaux for Alma Beamon Rhines, 73, a native and
resident of Thibodaux who died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Dismissal will be at 11 a.m. Monday with interment in the church
cemetery.

She was the mother of Essie Rhines of Thibodaux and Norris Rhines of
Houston; stepmother of Walter Rhines Jr., of New Orleans; sister of Eula
Mae Flakes and Lawrence, Clarence and Oliver Beamon, all of Thibodaux,
Stella Dorsey of New Orleans and Rose Walker of Chicago.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rhines; a daughter,
Cora Thomas; and parents, Stella Rohilliard and Abraham Beamon.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
