Etienne Plaisance

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Etienne Paul Plaisance, 75,
a native of Cut Off and resident of Bush who died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in
Galliano.

Interment will be in the church mausoleum.

He was the father of Etienne Jr. and Guy Plaisance, Elizabeth Busher,
Teresa Slade and Rosemary Wood; brother of Raymond, Norman. Gillis and
Simon Plaisance, Mary Rainey, Clothilde Callais, Rose Lee and Ethel
Smith.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Lingenfelter
Plaisance; a son, Charles Plaisance; parents, Teresa Aguillard and
Etienne Plaisance; brothers, Eddie, Gabriel and Albina Plaisance; and a
sister, Mathilde Plaisance.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
