Edward Detiveaux Sr.

Edward "Ed" J. Detiveaux Sr., 73, a native of Bourg and resident of
Raceland, died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Hilary Catholic Church in
Mathews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Tuesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Robichaux Detiveaux; mother, Ernestine
V. Detiveaux; son Edward "Eddie" Detiveaux and wife, April; daughter
Denise Detiveaux and companion Alexander Martinez; brother Leroy J.
Detiveaux and wife, Bonnie; sisters Rosadel D. Brooks and husband, R.J.,
and Clara D. Gambrella; and grandchildren Levy and Amos Detiveaux.

He was preceded in death by his father, Godfrey Detiveaux.

He was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army
veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer
Society.

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
