Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Norris Ledet of Houma; son Gerard Ledet of Houma; brother David LeCompte of Houma; four grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Louise Bonvillain LeCompte; daughter Wanda Briggs; brothers Alden and Roland LeCompte; and sisters Mae Lirette and Yvonne LeCompte. She was a retired medical records and personnel department clerk with Terrebonne General Hospital for 12 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a lifetime member of Court Cardinal Gibbons No. 177. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Lupus Foundation, 12090 S. Harrell's Ferry Road, Suite Q, Baton Rouge, LA, 70816.
