All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** State of LouisianaParish of Livingston Sale of Land Alfred Richardson to Thomas Kennedy,George Richardson and Ralph Smith25 July 1837Be it known and remembered that on the Twenty fifth day of July Eighteen hundredand Thirty seven, Before me Thomas Kennedy Parish Judge and ex officio NotaryPublic in & for the said Parish of Livingston personally came and appeared Mr.Alfred Richardson of the Parish of Livingston Who declared that for and inconsideration of the sum of One Thousand dollars to be paid as follows andhereafter expressed, he does by these presents grant, bargain, sell, convey,assign, set over and deliver with a full guarantee against all troubles, debts,liens, claims, priveledges [sic] and Mortgages of any Nature whatsoever untoGeorge Richardson of the Parish of Livingston for himself and also to the saidGeorge Richardson agent who accepts this sale for Ralph Smith, and to ThomasKennedy who are all present and accepting for themselves as co-equal purchasersin the same, and acknowledging Delivery and possession of the same, a certaintract of land situated in the parish of Livingston containing two hundred andNineteen acres. Being situated on the Birdys Branch east of Samuel Richardsonsand bounded on the North by lands of William Acres [sic], who owns the upperpart of said tract of land, South by lands of J. B. Curtis & J. T. Preston, Eastby lands of William Akers, and west by land of Samuel Richardson & Joshua B.Curtis to have and to hold the above described tract of land to the saidpurchasers their heirs & assign [sic] to their proper use and behoof forever.The said vendor binding himself that he will warrant and defend the abovedescribed tract of land to the said purchasers against the claims of all personswhomsoever.
