Funeral services for Mildred Marie Dycus, age 73, will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Bro. Kenneth Chouccoli officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana.

 

Mildred passed away peacefully Monday, February 24, 2020, at Jaquith Nursing Home in Pearl, Mississippi. She was born July 19, 1946, in Greenwood, Mississippi. She spent her childhood in Greenwood, Mississippi and later moved to Tallulah, Louisiana where she raised her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved to sing, dance, quilt, crochet, and was an avid gardener.

 

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Robert Doorell Jester, and all eight of her siblings: Evelyn Brodowski, Laverne Howard, Jimmy Dycus, Lois Havens, Edward Dycus, Dorothy Dycus, JoAnn Dormbush, and Larry Dycus, as well as her grandson, Rafeal Saldana.

 

Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Cynthia Hatcher and Wanda Marie Borne and her two sons, Charlie Jester, III and James David Jester as well as her many grandchildren who she adored.

 

Pallbearers are Vince Havens, Wayne Singleton, Jerry Mims, Eric Jenkins, Gerald Borne and Bryce Kincaid.
