All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Mary Virginia Russell Osborne Madison Parish, LA April 4, 1938 ~ October 30, 2019 (age 81) From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home November 1, 2019 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Virginia Russell Osborne, age 81, will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Lake Providence, Louisiana with Reverends Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Stone officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Osborne was born April 4, 1938 in Charleston, Missouri. She earned her registered nursing degree from Barnes Nursing School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1958 and retired from nursing in 1988 after serving 30 years. She married her husband, George “Dan” Osborne, January 26, 1963, and they made their home in Lake Providence, Louisiana. Mrs. Osborne was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lake Providence, Louisiana where she was a member of the choir and also served as organist. She loved to read, sew and being a Mimi. Mrs. Osborne is survived by her husband of 56 years, George Daniel Osborne, of Tallulah, Louisiana, formerly of Lake Providence, Louisiana, one son, Danny Osborne, wife Rhonda, of Mazon, Illinoise, one daughter, Mary Frances Givens, husband Eric, of Tallulah, Louisiana, three grandchildren, Mary Beth Warner, husband Steve, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Megan Givens of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Molly Givens of Tallulah, Louisiana, one sister, Jane Jackson, husband Bob, of Charleston, Missouri, one sister-in-law, Billie Russell, of Charleston, Missouri, one brother-in-law, Tom Osborne, of Mexico, Missouri, numerous nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Gigi. Pallbearers are Tom Russell, Bill Harrizin, Stephen Warner, Ryman Busby, Joey Hopkins, and Joseph Hopkins.
