Ronald Gene Ratcliff
died on Sunday, October 28, 2018, in Tallulah surrounded by his loving family.
He was 68.
He was born in Lake
Providence, LA on April 18, 1950 to his parents Billy Zedrick
Ratcliff and Billie Earline Barton Ratcliff. He served in Vietnam in the
U. S. Army .He started his career at the age of 18 with Lake Providence Port
which was later known as Great River Grain and is currently known as Bunge,
North America. He retired after 49 years due to illness. He was an avid
hunter and fisherman. He greatly loved traveling and spending time with his
family. He was a member of the Oak Grove Grove Church
of God and attended Sondheimer Baptist Church in his
later years.
He was preceded in
death by his father Billy Ratcliff.
He is survived by his
wife of 49 years Sandra Sue Ratcliff; his sons Ronald Clay Ratcliff
(Stacey) of Tallulah and Dustin Michael Ratcliff of Monroe; his daughter Christal Florice (Joe) of
Tallulah; his mother Billie Ratcliff, brothers David Ratcliff (Diana) and
Mike Ratcliff (Betsy); sister Carol Jones (Phillip); grandchildren Alana Florice, Shelby Ratcliff, Rachel Florice,
Eli Ratcliff, Jordan Delaney and Jada Jobe.
Visitation will be
from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Crothers-Glenwood
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October
31, 2018 at the funeral home with Rev. Vernon Groce
officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be
Greg Ratcliff, Marshal Ratcliff, Jeremy Ratcliff, Barry Hillman, Ronney Cobb and Mitchell Haddox.
