Lloyd William Rogan,
Jr. passed away suddenly on his 60th birthday, July 11, 2020, at Richland
Parish Hospital in Delhi, Louisiana, due to complications from the COVID virus.
He was born July 11, 1960, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Lloyd William Rogan, Sr.
and Marilyn Christine Ashley Rogan.
Lloyd
is survived by his wife of 34 years, Angie Deckelman Rogan of Tallulah,
Louisiana; two sons, Will Rogan and Hunter Rogan both of Tallulah, Louisiana;
one daughter, Kathryn Rogan Reppond and husband Mitch of Monroe,
Louisiana; one brother, Wallace Rogan and wife Ann of Arlington, Texas;
sister-in-law, Leigh Trichell and husband, Don of Delhi, Louisiana;
mother-in-law and father-in-law, Susie and Jerry Wilson of Tallulah, Louisiana;
father-in-law, Ronnie Deckelman of Port Gibson, Mississippi; four
grandchildren, Kennedy, Gracyn, Carlyle, and Thomas Reppond; three nephews,
Kole Trichell, Reid and Cade Rogan; two nieces, Bailey and Abby Trichell;
and his beloved pets, Maggie, Queen and Jax.
Lloyd
graduated from Tallulah High School in 1978. He attended Northeast
Louisiana University where he played drums in the band. He worked 40
years for the State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and
Development as an Engineer Tech 5/Office Manager.
Lloyd
enjoyed cooking and spending time in his yard. He loved music and playing his
drums in his Full Moon Band. He was an avid LSU Tiger fan of all sports. He was
a member of the Tallulah Fantasy Football League. He was also a member of First
Baptist Church. He enjoyed his job and the people he worked with. He had many
friends and will surely be missed by all.
A
private graveside service for the family will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, at
10:00 A.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana with Rev.
Rudy Hernandez officiating.
In
lieu of flowers, the family request that all donations be made to St.
Jude's Children's Hospital.
