All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Carolyn Geneva Russell Madison Parish, LA From Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home July 10, 2019 Funeral services for Geneva Russell, age 76, will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at the chapel at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home, with her nephew, Bro. Collin Wimberly officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery. Geneva graduated from Tallulah High School as salutatorian in 1961. She graduated from Northwestern in Natchitoches in 1964 in education and later received her masters degree in education supervision from LSU. Her first teaching job was in Port Arthur, Texas and after that she taught school for 24 years in various places in Louisiana. After her teaching career, Geneva became a resident of Delta Haven and later the Olive Branch Nursing Home. Geneva was a devout Baptist throughout her life. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Gertrude Russell, her sisters, Laverne Russell and Mary Webb, and her brothers, Tony, Terry, and Travis Russell. Survivors include her sister, Louise Wimberly, her brothers, Thomas, Clinton, and Benton Russell, and many nieces and nephews.
