Ruston - Funeral services for Bobby
"Bob Day" Tucker, 77, of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM Friday,
February 15, 2019 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Entombment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Mausoleum. Rev. Larry Linson will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday,
February 14, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West
Monroe.
Bobby was born April 27, 1941 in Crossett, Arkansas and passed away February
11, 2019 in Ruston, LA. After finishing high school Bobby went on to Memphis
and received a degree in radio broadcasting. He got his start at KTLD in
Tallulah, LA and began his career of broadcasting high school football games,
in the golden years of Tallulah High School Football. A few years later he
moved to Ruston and went to work at KXKZ, where he broadcast all the Ruston
Bearcats Football Games. Bobby is currently employed at KRLQ in Ruston. He was
also a huge sports fan and an avid New York Yankee Fan and
Atlanta Braves. Bobby also loved spending time with his granddaughter.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Ben T. and Mittie
Ruth Tucker
Bobby is survived by his son, Mickey C. Tucker and fiancé Natalie Hart;
granddaughter, Cambryn Skye Tucker; sister, Ruth Ann
Morgan and husband Floyd; nephew, Bill Morgan and wife Jo; niece, Kim Reeves
and husband Mitchell.
Pallbearers with Floyd Morgan, William Earl Travis, Barry Gilliand, Bill Brown, Bill Staples and Destin Piercy.
