Services for Mr. Charles H. Lee, Jr., 75, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 17, 1999 in the Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, West Monroe, with Rev. Robert Hill and Rev. Charles Tolbird officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Calhoun.
Mr. Lee died Thursday, April 14, 1999 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Mr. Lee was retired from the Paper Mill and was a member of New Life Assembly of God.
Mr. Lee was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Air Corp as 1st Lieutenant, and he received two Purple Hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Survivors are his wife: Maxine Lee of West Monroe, LA; two sons: Mitchell Lee and wife, Marilyn of Shreveport; Roger Lee and wife, Gina of Singapore; two daughters; Margie Diane Barr and husband, Shot; and Melinda Owens and husband, Donald, all of West Monroe, LA; two brothers: Robert E. Lee of Ansonia, OH; and George E. Lee of Florida; one sister: Isabel Swabb of New Madison, OH; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Terry Sepulvado, Matt Graves, Ronnie Myers, Billy May, Charles Beach, Glenn Simmons, Billy Carroll, and Greg Green.
Visitation will be Saturday 2 p.m. Sunday at Springhill Cemetery, Jonesboro. Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Southern Funeral Home, Jonesboro.
Mr. Lee married Myrtie Maxine MAY on 21 July 1945 in West Monroe LA.
