Former Parish resident Died in W. Monroe
Mrs. Lula Lee May, a
native of Caldwell Parish, died in Monroe last Friday, August 20th, at
the age of 91. She would have been 92 on October 8th.
She passed
away at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Fannie Moore, 606 Riverbend Drive,
West Monroe.
Funeral Services were at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the
Trinity Baptist Church in West Monroe with the Pastor, Rev. James B.
White officiating.
Burial was in the Hickory Springs Cemetery in
Jackson Parish under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of
Columbia.
Survivors include four sons: W. Harvey May, E. Lee May,
Fred A. May and Seth W. May all of West Monroe; four daughters, Mrs.
Fannie Moore, West Monroe, Mrs. Lonie Wooley of Spokane, Wash., Mrs.
Katie Gautreaux of Gonzales, Mrs. Audie Sisk of Bastrop; one brother,
Seth Fluitt of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie May of West Monroe
and Mrs. Katie May of Chatham; twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-six
great grandchildren; and twenty-three great, great, grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chester Jordan, Teddy Johnson, Neal Duncan, Dewayne
Jordan, Steve Powell, and Boyce Johnson.
