Obituary - Dollie Mary (Mounce) Rowell, 24 May 1949

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today for Mrs. Dollie Mounce Rowell, 51, who died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at her home, 521 East 7th Street. Mrs. Rowell had been ill several months.

Mrs. Rowell had resided in Shreveport about 30 years, coming here from Bienville Parish. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church.

Survivors are her husband, W. E. Rowell, an operator for the Shreveport Railways; two sons, Wallace and W. E. Rowell, Jr., both of Shreveport; one daughter, Mary Joyce Rowell, of Shreveport; five brothers, J. A., A. W., and Dr. E. C. Mounce, all of Alexandria, and C. E. of Shreveport, and E. T. Mounce of Lake Charles; and one sister, Mrs. W. N. Smith of Bastrop, La.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. R. M. Bentley, pastor of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church, at Wellman's Funeral Home. Burial will be in the cemetery at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church between Ringgold and Castor, La.

Pallbearers will be G. W. Sabin, H. Hanson, I. L. Har??, O. I. Gee, G. A. Wallace and A. E. Whaley.
