Subject: Sam Coon
Hi Suelynn, My name is Donna and I currently reside in Oklahoma. I am beginning on my mother's genealogy and will not have to much information to provide for you. But, I need help in locating data on my gggrandfather and my gggrandmother. Great-Great-Grandfather:........... Sam Coon
Great-Great-Grandmother...........Elizabeth Dickerson
I just obtained my great-grandmother's death record from Louisana. It showed as her parents the names listed above.
Sam Coon was born in Monroe, La. Birthplace of Elizabeth is not shown.
I am needing information on both of them. Where they were born and raised, their parents names, dates of birth, dates of death, data on any other siblings or any information that you can provide for me which would aid me in my quest. No other information is known by me about them. The death record shows Bertie Coon Bryant born in Winnfield, La. 12 Jan 1868. Her death record shows that on 6 Feb 1937 she was 69 yrs. of age.
Their daughter Bertie Coon Bryant (My great-grandmother) met and married John W. Bryant and lived all their lives in Montgomery, La. Bertie died Feb 6, 1937 and John died 25 Nov 1963. I have family genealogy on them and their side of the family.
Any information you can provide on the Coon or Dickerson Families would be appreciated. Thanks a lot

Subject: William Jason Colvin
I am trying to learn the parents, wife, siblings, or descendants of William Jason Colvin born 1848 in Vienna, LA and died September 1912. One of his children may have been my grandmother, Ugenia Samantha Albertha (Bertha) Colvin born 8 Apr 1872 in or around Ft. Worth, Texas. She died 16 Sep 1954 in or near Simsboro, LA. Bertha married Benjamin Franklin Jones 22 Mar 1896 in Winn Parish, LA. It seems William Jason Colvin, if that is his correct name, would be an offspring of Daniel Colvin of the Vienna Wire Road and then Vienna when it was incorporated in 1848. If you have any leads please email me at bfogle@swbell.net.

Subject: Bilberry, Cobb, Marshall & Turnage
This is a query: I do not have Outlook Express. Looking for info on the following families: Marshall, Bilberry, Turnage, and Cobb. I bleive these families where in Ouachita parish between 1895-1910 because Frank I. Marshall and Sarah Jane Bilberry were married there in 1905 in a town called Cecil. This town no longer exists. My husband's grandfather was born there (1909 in Monroe/Cecil) before recording births was mandatory.  The Cobb family was related to Sarah through Sarah's mother who married George Cobb (2nd hubby) and through Sarah'a Aunt Irene "Fannie" who was George's 1st wife. Frank was raised by the Turnage's because his mother
married Robert HC Turnage after her hubby, HK Marshall, died in a logging accident in 1886. Any help would be appreciated!
