Leola “Cora” Tyler Adams departed this life on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. She was 85, a native and resident of Labadieville, LA. Visitation on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Visitation on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at St. Phillip Baptist Church from 9:00am to religious services at 11:00am. Martha was born on March 17th, 1940 and passed away on March 27th, 2018 at the age of 78. Martha was a resident of Louisiana at the time of passing. Phyllis Elaine (Bastian) Clark

Phyllis Elaine Bastian Clark departed this life on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 27th, 1954, to the late Hayward Thomas Bastian and Rosemary Populus Bastian. Phyllis was the fourth of nine siblings: Geary (Alberta) Bastian, Sr, the late Joann Bastian, Roy (the late Janice) Bastian, the late Hayward Bastian, Jr, David (Vanessa) Bastian, Sr, Charles Bastian, Bernadette Bastian, and Elizabeth (Greg) Thompson. Mrs. Clark was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mallory Anthony Clark on August 2nd, 1985. They enjoyed 37 wonderful years together. From this union, Mallory and Phyllis were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Ashley Marie Clark and Rachel (JR) Caldwell. As a devout Roman Catholic, Phyllis was a very active member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church. She was a lector for over 40 years and served as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. Further, she was appointed by Salvador (Butch) Moran to serve on the St. Philip Parish Church Council. Phyllis was also a dedicated follower of St. Jude Thaddeus. Mrs. Clark was a committed, steadfast educator and administrator for St. John the Baptist Parish School System for over 40 years. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Hayward and Rosemary Bastian; two siblings, Joann Bastian and Hayward Bastian, Jr., and in-laws, Miller and Celeste Clark. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Mallory Clark; daughters, Ashley Clark and Rachel (JR) Caldwell, six siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at St. Philip Catholic Church, 1175 LA-18, Vacherie, LA 70090. Visitation from 8am-10am. Mass beginning at 10am. Theresa (Conners) Breaux Gabb

Theresa Conners Breaux Gabb, age 83 of Metairie passed away on Monday, July 9, 2001. She was much loved and will be missed by all that knew her. Her second husband, Alfred Gabb, Jr. of Metairie. Survives 'Mimi'. She was formerly married to the late Ward Phillip Breaux. Three children: Ward Anthony Breaux, Mary Ann Breaux Hymel and Perrin Joseph Breaux; seven grandchildren: Steven Phillip Breaux, Michael Ward Breaux, Amiee Breaux Benoit, Marc Andrew Breaux, Amanda Hymel Helmstetter, Gordon Paul Hymel and Trecor Jude Hymel and three great grandchildren: Victoria Benoit, Matthew Helmstetter and Peyton Hymel, also survive her. Her wishes to be cremated will be honored. There will be a private memorial service over Labor Day weekend. Heaven is a bit livelier with Mimi there. Mable (Allen) Pierre

January 15, 1936 - December 4, 2022
Mable Allen Pierre, also known as “Zollie”, native and resident of Wallace, Louisiana, died peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2022 in Baton Rouge at the age of 86. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Leroy Joseph Pierre of Edgard, her parents Samuel and Mary Marie Allen of Wallace, and many family members on both sides. She is survived by her five children: Kenneth (Julie) of Florida, Donna Pierre Rochon of Lutcher, Charlean Pierre Moreau of France, Angela Pierre Lee (Michael) of Indiana, and Bryant Pierre of Belgium; 4 grandchildren: Chavez Pierre of California, Brandi Moreau Brown (Mathutu) of Belgium, Dominique Rochon of Lutcher, and Amy Moreau of France; and one great-grandchild: Ashanti Nimy of Belgium. She is also survived by one brother: Wilmore “Boule” Allen of Wallace, and one sister: Hazel Hudson (J L) of Tampa FL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mable graduated valedictorian at Second Ward High School. After learning to typewrite at home, she later worked 14 years as a secretary for Wallace Elementary School and St. John the Baptist Parish School Board Office. She was an active member of St. Philip Catholic Church serving as an Extraordinary Eucharistic minister, member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Philip #1504, rosary square coordinator, St John the Baptist Catholic Church Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court #66 and a committed Adorer at our Lady of Prompt Succor Lutcher Chapel. Mable was widely known in her community for her pineapple upside cake and her fudge candy until her hand could no longer stir the bowl. She also crocheted beautiful layette sets for many in and around the community. There was no crochet pattern she could not master. She was a loving and devoted spouse for 55 years and sole caregiver to her husband after his heart attack in 2000 and until his death in 2009. She was also a devoted caregiver to her mother and three of her brothers during their time of illness and need. Mable lived for her children and enjoyed traveling to visit them, no matter where they were...California, France, Belgium, Oregon, Iowa, Texas, Rhode Island, Michigan, Indiana, New York, Oklahoma, Florida, Guadalupe and Chicago. Mable also traveled to Rome, Italy and Branson, Missouri with her husband before his death and continued to travel with Donna and Dominique on cruises to Alaska, Hawaii, Bahamas, Caribbean Islands, Nova Scotia, Honduras, Belize, DC, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, and with Julie to the Holy Land and Medugorje. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a Mass of Christian burial presided by Rev. Vincent Dufresne at St. Philip Catholic Church, 1175 Highway 18, River Road, in Vacherie, Louisiana on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 12 Noon. Rosary and presentation at 9:30am by Catholic Daughters Court St. Philip #1504 followed by Knights of Peter Claver Ladies’ Auxiliary Court #66. Public visitation following both presentations up to 11:30am. Entombment followed in St Philip mausoleum with her husband, Leroy. Harold Joseph Poche

December 28, 1959 – October 21, 2022
Harold Joseph Poche’ was born on December 28, 1959 to the blessed union of the late Lawrence Sr. and Marie Poche’. He was baptized at an early age in the Catholic faith at St. Philip Catholic Church of Vacherie, La. He was later baptized at Greater New St. Peter Baptist Church in Edgard, La. He departed this earthly life for his eternal home on Friday, October 21, 2022, at University Medical Center. He is survived by his sister, Catherine Bennett; brother, Leroy (Diamond) Poche'; uncles, Charles (Dolores) and Morris (Grace) Armant, Ernest and Gilbert Joseph; aunts, Ethel Dent, Dolores, Lucille, Mildred, and Rosalie Joseph. Harold was educated in the St. John the Baptist Parish Public School System. He graduated in 1977 from Second Ward High School. Beloved family members that preceded him in death are his parents, Lawrence Sr. and Marie Poche’; brothers, Lawrence Jr. and Colonel Poche’; and sister, Linda Poche’. Jimmie Robertson

Jimmie Robertson passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the age of 75. Son of the late Lizzie and Eddie Robertson Sr., father of Terreill J. and Chanell A. Robertson, brother of Aldonia Smith, Lizzie Mae McGuffy, Augustine and Alice M. Robertson. Jimmie is survived by 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
