F. Mitch Roberts was mayor of DeRidder from 1934-1940 and 1958-1962.
This photograph was taken in 1962 and my father, Chief JB Cooley wrote on the back of this photo. "Mitch Roberts was reason for us getting these trucks". Evidently Mr. Roberts was very instrumental in getting DeRidder the two New Fire Engines shown in the photo.
