Researching the Brown family which inc. John C Brown, his wife Mary and large family who lived in this parish and were founders of the Old Saline Baptist Church pastored by George W. Baines. Children's names were Gw Brown, Isaac Newton Brown, Francis Marion, Jasper, OlliVann, This family moved to Walker county--Huntsville Texas by 1850-60 where John C. died. They were somehow kin to the Koonce family also. Anyone that can help let me know.

I'm looking for decendants of Benjamin Franklin Lee, Sr. born about 1827 in Mississippi, died 1910 in Bienville Parish. He married Ava Amy Nix in 1859. She was born in 1841 in Twiggs Co, GA & died in 1933 in Bienville Parish. They had 14 children. My relative is John Franklin Lee born 18 Nov 1863.

Martha Hines, daughter of Wiley Hines and Catherine Summerline was born in Louisiana in 1853.Martha married abt, 1870 to a young man with the last name of Ford. They had a son named John W. Virginia "Jenny" Hines was born in Bienville parish in July 1867. The daughter of Wiley Hines and Catherine Summerlin. Virginia married in Bienville parish to a young man with the last name of Jones about 1887. They are listed on the 1900 Bienville parish census in ward six. I would like any information on this family and would like to contact any descendants of this family. I am a distant cousin.

My grandfather was buried in Bulah, Bienville Parish. His name was Joseph Samuel Matlock and died November 24, 1901. I'm trying to locate the town or community of Bulah and the cemetery where was buried. I'm looking for a Baptist Church or cemetery that was in the area at the time.
