V. L. Zorn, a member of the firm of Anderson & Zorn, leading fruit brokers of New Orleans, is a native of that city. He was born in 1865, and received a common-school education, devoting considerable of his time since leaving school to literature. He started in business at a very early age, and is characterized by his energy and progressiveness, being versed in all the knowledge essential to the fruit business. He has gained the confidence of the people by the amount of data which he takes pains to keep on hand in regard to fruit interests and the truthfulness and promptitude with which he furnishes the same. The present partnership of Anderson & Zorn was formed June 18, l890), and success has crowned their efforts from the beginning. The first full carload of bananas ever shipped to Helena, Mont., was sent by this firm, and they are at present opening a banana house in New York city. Mr. Zorn is a pleasant and agreeable gentleman and very popular, not only with his customers, but the general public as well. He is an active member of the Southern Athletic club and also of the Metropolitan club. Few men of his age have had the business experience and success which he has had.
