To Order Records:

Births & Deaths (from 1835):

To order copies of birth records, write the La. Vital Records  You must have the name of the person and date of the event.
Deaths (from 1960): A certified copy of a death record that can typically be used to obtain death benefits, claim insurance proceeds, notify social security and other legal purposes. Death Certificates are available for events that occurred in the State of Louisiana within the last 50 years. First Copy: $7.00 Additional Copies: $7.00

Marriage (from 1835)
