Porter, Sr. had 3 brothers named Dick STRAIN, Emett STRAIN and Albert STRAIN. He had 1 sister Hilda Strain MORAN. Annie STRAIN had 2 brothers Edgar ANDERSON and Henry ANDERSON. She had 3 sisters named Stella Anderson MORAN, Myrtle Anderson MORAN and Edna Anderson MARANGE.
We are looking to find out where the Strain family originated and when they settled here in St. Tammany. We are a large family so it is not difficult getting guestions answered but we would like to find out who the orginal Strains were and we they descended from. Any help is appreciated. Please answer to Strain1428@aol.com (Porter Allen Strain, grandson to Porter T. Strain, Sr.)
