We are looking for the parents and
siblings and or any other relatives of Nancy Caroline ADDISON born 15 Aug 1856
in Covington, St. Tammany Parish,LA. She had one child named Alice Thomas,
probably in St. Tammany Parish. Then several years later Nancy married Branson
SPIERS from McNeill, MS. Married 31 Aug. 1888 in McNeill, MS. She was living in
Slidell, LA. when she and Branson met( we think ). Branson and Nancy had one
child, Wilmer Joel SPIERS, born 20 Apr 1887 in Slidell, St.Tammany Parish, LA.
After marriage, Branson, Nancy, Alice Thomas and Wilmer Joel lived the rest of
their lives in or near McNeill, MS.. I am D. Terry SPIERS, the great grandson of
Branson and Nancy. We do know that at least two of Nancy Caroline ADDISON's
brothers visited her in MS. and stayed for a while before going back to
somewhere in LA.( no names though ). Any information would be a great help. You
can contact me --- dtspiers@datastar.net

My great great grandfather was
Joseph St. Ange BOSSIER. His wife was Frances Ann Thompson BOSSIER. (BOSSIERE)
Anyway, her grandfather wasn Gideon JOHNSTON of Warrenton, Va Fauquier County.
Her mother was Elizabeth Johnston THOMPSON. Gideon JOHNSTON was a Captain in the
Revolution. He received land as payment for his service. This land in time was
inherited by his granddaughter Frances Ann THOMPSON, and two grandsons William
JENNINGS and Augustine JENNINGS. I knew of Frances Ann THOMPSON but knew nothing
of the JENNINGS. Would like to find out if anyone knows who their mother was,
and also their father. Was their mother Fannie Johnston JENNINGS? Was their
father Thomas JENNINGS? If anyone knows the answer to this puzzle, please get in
touch with me at Nburke-hixson@worldnet.att.net. Thanks for any help you may
give me and I will surely share what I have. Nellie A. Burke, Chattanooga, Tn.

On the 1812 St. Tammany tax list is Francois PECON or PICHON, 1m, 1f,
4 children. On her widow's pension application, Mary BLACKWELL, widow of Nathan
BLACKWELL of Washington Parish, says she was Mary PICAFELD and married Nathan in
1811 in St. Tammany. This is not in St. Tammany marriage records. It is
possible, even likely, that the name on the pension application was not spelled
correctly. I can't find any PICAFELD in St. Tammany or Washington, in fact, have
never seen it in any record or index. Could this PECON be my PICAFELD? And what
happened to this PECON family? In Pike Co in 1820 there is a Frances PETETFILLS,
and I've found no other records on this family. Is this possibly part of the
same family? Spelling variations on French names seem to be much broader than
English names.

Searching for information on Jules BRADY living in
St. Tammany Parish, in the town of Madisonville. He is listed in the 1880 census
living with a wife, Anna, and 5 children. I have reason to believe that he is
the same man that was born in Paris, France, moved to the US in the early 1840s
and settled in Summerfield, Dallas CO., Alabama. He and his first wife Albine
had seven children. Jules enlisted in the Civil War in 1861, and after going off
to war, I suspect he deserted his family and settled in LA and started a new
family. When Jules BRADY was living in Paris he was a musician. After settling
in Alabama he was a teacher and I have information that he also was a teacher in
LA. If anyone can find a copy of the 1880 census listing Jules BRADY, I would
certainly appreciate a copy of it and would gladly pay for time and materials.

I'm searching for information about Celia Morgan
born about 1824. She married Wm. Sanders in Washington Parish, La. They are
listed in the census in Washington Parish until 1860. By 1870 they disappear
from the census. My g. grandfather, Carroll M. Sanders, was born in 1862; he and
his siblings are living in the household of Wm. & Minerva Perkins in Calcasieu
Parish by 1870. I'm assuming Celia Morgan m. to Wm. Sanders died between
1862-1870. There were Morgans that moved to Amite Co., Ms. by the early 19th
century or earlier. Some of their descendants migrated to East Feliciana Parish.
I found this in the East Feliciana Parish, La. Original Conveyances V. 3, Bk 1
dated 23 Jan, 1828: Prissella Richardson to her gc Celia Morgan, Wm. Field
Morgan, & Mary Jane Morgan c of John Morgan & Corbi Morgan. I believe that Celia
Morgan mentioned in the conveyances to be my g,g, grandmother. I'm searching for
her parents. Some of the Morgans went to East Feliciana from Ky. and some from
Ms. who were from N.C. There are also some Morgans on the 1852 St. Tammany
Parish Mortgage Index. I'd appreciate any help. June

Village on Slidell-Pearl River Road, St. Tammany Co., James L. DORMAN age 44
lawyer, wife Ruth age 33 Caroline dau. age 12 and roomer Ellen Crochet? 76.
Because: My great grandma had a sister Louisa C. STINSON. She was raised in Pike
Co., Ala. and married James DORMAN in Pike Co. They moved to Texas, to then
Titus Co., with her Stinson relatives after the Civil War. She had two sons:
John Robert who married a Minnie Louisa STOKES and had children Homer L. b. June
1889, Florence G. b. Feb. 1891, Alice A. b. March 1893, Beulah M. b. Jan 1895
according to Titus Co., Texas 1900 census, ED 120 Sh. 11A. Also in the household
is JAMES L. DORMAN brother b. Aug 1873, Texas and a half brother WILEY E. DORMAN
b. Oct. 1881 in Louisianna From my research, after Louisa C. and James Dorman
married, they migrated to then Titus Co, Texas & in 1873 they sold their Titus
Co. (now Franklin Co.) improved property to a BEALL. They then disappear; I
can't find them in the everyname index for 1880 even by initials so may have
been in Oklahoma. In 1897 a J.R. Dorman appears on the tax rolls of Titus Co.
which may be John R. Dorman from the 1900 Titus Co. census. A J.L. Dorman (James
L.?) also appears on the tax rolls in 1900 after that year I find no Dorman's
with the right initials on the Titus Co. tax rolls. Ring any bells? Many thanks!
