MR. JAMES MADDEN, 92
OAK GROVE, LOUISIANA
Mr. Madden died Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at West Carroll Care Center in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Mr. Madden was a native and lifelong resident of Oak Grove. A veteran of WWII, Mr. Madden served as a private with the 559th Air Service Group, while serving in the Army Air Corp in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater during World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, John Elbert Madden; his parents, Frank Madden and Mary Rachel Herring Madden; 4 brothers; Tuck Madden, Robert Madden, Wes Madden, and Gabe Madden; 5 sisters; Fannie Dye, Jewel Barbo, Pearl Johnson, Doris Hemphill and Stella Deere.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Karen Madden of Oak Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Tammy Madden of Oak Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Claire Madden of Rayville, Louisiana; daughter, Stonnie Garrison of West Monroe, Louisiana; sister, Myrtle Strong of Oak Grove.
Pallbearers will be Markum David Madden, Jamie Madden, Clay Madden, Jay Madden, Cameron Madden and R. B. Madden.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Hursel Tyson, John "Dub" Hodges, Danny Mariche, Reggie Black and John Wylie Madden.
Family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2008 from noon until 9PM at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.

OAK GROVE - Funeral services for James Madden, age 92, of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 2PM on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverends Jimmie Herring, Jimbo Herring, and Terry Jordan will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Ravan Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove, Louisiana.
