Haughton, LA – Services for Mitchell Veldon May, 71, will be held at 2 p.m.,
Friday, December 1, 1995 at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be
Rev. John Lavo, pastor of Love Chapel United Methodist Church in Haughton.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to
service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. May died Wednesday, November
29, 1995 at Willis Knighton Medical Center as the result of an accident.
He was born in Columbia, La., was a former resident of Shreveport for a number
of years, and had resided in Haughton for the past 22 years.
Mr. May was
an insurance salesman retired from Security Industrial Insurance Co. He was a
member of the Love Chapel United Methodist Church of Haughton, a veteran of
World War II serving in the U.S. Navy, a Mason and a member of the Haughton
Masonic Lodge and member of Toastmasters.
He is survived by his wife,
Annette H. May of Haughton, La.; three daughters, Emily May Caldwell and husband
Doug of West Monroe, La., Susan Diane May of Monroe, La., and Dr. Pamela Parker
Glisson and husband Shawn of Atlanta, Ga.; one grandson, Benjamin Leslie
Caldwell, three brothers, Lawrence may of San Francisco, CA, retired Lt. Col.
Bill May of Mobile, Ala., and Bernard May of Monroe, La.; two sisters, Lena Webb
and her husband Coco of Shreveport, and Christine Griffith of Monroe, La.; and a
number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Doug Caldwell, Shawn
Glisson, Jim Richardson, Dewey Elliott, Alan Hicks and Jimmy Lynn.

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services for Wayne Plunkett, Sr., 50, will be
conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 at the Hill Crest Funeral
Home Chapel, with Pastor Frank Ebarb, pastor of the Word of Truth Church, Many,
LA, officiating. Interment will follow in Pease Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will
be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at the Hill Crest
Funeral Home.
Mr. Plunkett entered into rest February 23, 2004, at
Willis-Knighton Pierremont, after a brief illness. He was employed by the Morris
and Dickson Co. and a resident of Bossier City for thirty-seven years.
Survivors include his parents: Fred and Louise Plunkett of Benton, LA; children
Eric Wayne Plunkett of San Antonio, TX; Fred Wayne Plunkett, Jr.; Danny
Plunkett, and Eugene Plunkett, all of Bossier City, LA; four brothers, Ernie
Plunkett and wife Cindy of Plain Dealing, LA; Gary Plunkett and wife Jeanette of
Haughton, LA; Ricky Plunkett and wife Cindy of Benton, LA; Keith Plunkett and
wife Penny of Florien, LA; a special nephew; David Wynne; and numerous other
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Fellow Employees of Morris and
Dickson Pharmaceuticals.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Free
Spirits Motorcycle Club.

Benton, LA - A Funeral Mass will be held for Leo Robert Remedies at St. Jude's
Catholic Church Thursday morning, June 5, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Father Richard
Norsworthy, pastor of St. Jude Catholic Church will officiate. The V.F.W. 12th
District, Department of Louisiana Honor Guard will conduct military graveside
honors at the Hill Crest Memorial Park. The Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday,
June 4, 1997 and the family will receive visitors from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral
home.
Mr. Remedies was native fo Zwolle, LA. and had lived in Bossier
Parish the past 38 years where he practiced his trade as a Carpenter. He was a
member of the VFW and St. Jude Catholic Church, and a US Navy veteran of WW II.
Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Emma Lee Remedies of Benton, LA., 4
daughters: Mrs. Bettie Joan Brown and husband, Gerald of Franklin, TN., Ms.
Patsy Delores Remedies of Benton, LA., Mrs. Mary Yvonne Gravesen and husband,
Wayne of Bossier City, LA., Ms. Veronica Jean Remedies of Benton, LA., 5 sons:
Robert Charles Remedies of Benton, LA., James Ronald Remedies and wife, Sandra
of Benton, LA., Theodore Lane Remedies and wife, Adrienne of Bossier City, LA.,
Michael Leo Remedies and wife, Cassandra of Benton, LA, 2 sisters, 3 brothers,
21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
