• Blairstown, a post-hamlet in the southeastern part of East Feliciana parish, is situated on a confluent of the Amite river, about 5 miles north of Pride, the nearest railroad station, and 9 miles southeast of Clinton, the parish seat. [volume 1, page 98]
• Bells Store, a post-hamlet in the southwestern part of East Feliciana parish, is about 4 miles southwest of Ethel, the nearest railroad town. [volume 1, page 81]
• Clinton, the parish seat of East Feliciana parish, is located near the center of the parish, the site having been determined by a vote of the people when the parish was organized in 1824. The town was laid out in 1830 and two years later the Clinton female academy was founded by the sisters of George Bancroft, the noted historian. The Centenary college was located here in 1839, and the town was incorporated in 1852. Clinton is the eastern terminus of a short branch of the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley R. R., which connects with the main line at Ethel. This branch is a part of the old Clinton & Port Hudson R. R., which was completed in 1840, but after that road was absorbed by the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley system the portion from Ethel to Port Hudson was abandoned. Clinton is a town of considerable commercial activity. It has a bank, a large brick and tile factory, some minor manufactures, a number of well conducted mercantile establishments, a money order postoffice with rural delivery routes emanating from it, good schools and churches, and the press and professions are well represented. The population in 1900 was 960. [volume 1, pages 232-233]
• Ethel, a village in the southwestern part of East Feliciana parish, is situated at the junction of two branches of the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley R. R., about 9 miles southwest of Clinton, the parish seat. It has a money order postoffice, express office and telegraph station, and in 1900 had a population of 125. [volume 1, page 396]
• Felixville, a post-hamlet in the northeastern part of East Feliciana parish, is situated on the Amite river about 12 miles northeast of Clinton, the parish seat. In 1900 it had a population of 25. [volume 1, page 420]
• Gilead, a post-hamlet in the eastern part of East Feliciana parish, is near the Amite river and 8 miles southeast of Clinton, the parish seat. [volume 1, page 501]
• Gurley, a village in the western part of East Feliciana parish, is on the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley R. R., about 8 miles west of Clinton, the parish seat. It has a money order postoffice, express office, telegraph station and telephone facilities, and some retail trade. [volume 1, page 511]
• Jackson, a town in the western part of Eat Feliciana parish, is situated on Thompson's creek at the junction of the Jackson and the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley railroads, and about 12 miles west of Clinton, the parish seat. It is one of the old towns of Louisiana, incorporated by an act of the legislature April 2, 1832, and received its name in honor of Gen. Andrew Jackson. When the parish of Feliciana was created in 1811, this town became the parish seat and remained so until the old parish was divided in 1824 to form the parishes of East and West Feliciana. It is one of the largest towns in this portion of the state and is the seat of Centenary college (Methodist Episcopal), which was organized in 1825, the Williams Female institute, the Louisiana Female Collegiate institute and the state asylum for the insane. It has a number of beautiful churches, homes and mercantile establishments, a money order postoffice, a bank, telegraph and telephone facilities, and in 1900 reported a population of 2,012. • Kents Store, a post-hamlet in the eastern part of East Feliciana parish, is situated on a confluent of the Amite river, about 5 miles northeast of Clinton, the parish seat. [volume 1, page 640]
• Lindsay, a village of East Feliciana parish, is situated on the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley R. R., 5 miles west of Slaughter and 16 miles southwest of Clinton, the parish seat. It has a money order postoffice, express office, telegraph station, and telephone facilities, and in 1900 reported a population of 56. [volume 2, page 71]
• McKinley, a post-hamlet in the central part of East Feliciana parish, is about 3 miles southeast of Clinton, the parish seat. [volume 2, page 121]
• McManus, a village in the western part of Eat Feliciana parish, is at the junction of the Jackson and the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley railroads, 4 miles east of Jackson and 8 miles west of Clinton, the parish seat. It has a money order postoffice, express office, telegraph station and telephone facilities, and is a shipping point of some importance. [volume 2, pages 121-122]
• Norwood, a post-village of East Feliciana parish, is a station on the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley R. R., 8 miles northwest of Clinton, the parish seat. It is the supply and shipping town of the rich farming country in the northwestern part of the parish, being located in the fruit and truck farm district that supplies a large quantity of the early berries and fruits that are shipped to the markets of Kansas City, St. Louis and Chicago, has a bank, a money order postoffice, telegraph and telephone facilities, and in 1900 had a population of 92. • Olive Branch, a post-hamlet of East Feliciana parish, is situated on a branch of the Amite river, about 5 miles southeast of Ethel, the nearest railroad station and 8 miles south of Clinton, the parish seat. [volume 2, page 271]
• Slaughter, one of the newer towns of East Feliciana parish, is located near the southern boundary at the junction of two branches of the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley R. R. It received its name in memory of the owners of the land upon which the town grew up after the railroad was built, and was incorporated in 1888. It has a money order postoffice, a bank, telegraph and express offices, several good mercantile establishments, and is the center of trade for the southwestern part of the parish. The population was 259 in 1900. [volume 2, page 450]
• Teddy, a post-hamlet in the northern part of East Feliciana parish, is about 3 miles south of the Mississippi state boundary and 7 miles northeast of Clinton, the parish seat and nearest railroad town. [volume 2, page 523]
• Troy, a post-hamlet of East Feliciana parish, is situated on Beaver creek near the Mississippi state boundary, 12 miles northeast of Clinton, the parish seat. [volume 2, page 550]
• Wilson, an incorporated town in the northwestern part of East Feliciana parish, is a station on the Yazoo & Mississippi Valley R. R., about 7 miles northwest of Clinton, the parish seat. It has a bank, a money order postoffice, telegraph and express offices, and is the shipping point for the cotton district in which it is located. There are cotton gins, and other cotton industries in the town, good stores and several churches. The population was 470 in 1900. [volume 2, page 654]
• Woodland, a post-hamlet in the northeastern part of East Feliciana parish, is situated on a confluent of the Amite river, about 8 miles northeast of Clinton, the parish seat and nearest railroad town. [volume 2, page 660]
