WEEKLY IBERVILLE PLAQUEMINE, LA JANUARY 11, 1868

SUCCESSION: Parish of East Baton Rouge, Sale of plantation of Mary Elise BUSH, dec'd in parish of Iberville on the right bank on the river Mississippi about 12 miles below town of Plaquemine. Bounded by lands belonging to heirs of Mrs. Ernest Comeaux, dec'd. Mary Elise BASH dec'd acquired the land at the sale of the succession of her husband, Janvier ALLAIN Febuary 28, 1860.  Seven-eights cash the rest payable when the minor Alphonse Daigre becomes of age or is legally emancipated. FIFTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT; William M. JOHNSTON has petitioned court for letters of administration in the succession of Ursule BEADLE, widow of Christopher TEAL, dec'd.Iberville, January 16, 1868.

FIFTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT: Edward J. GRY has petitioned the court for letters of administration in the succession of J. Walter STILLWELL, dec'd.  Iberville, January 15, 1868.

DIED: December 16, 1868 Madame ROLIN, widow of Francois AVET, a native of Recouvance, Department des Ardennes, France. Information wanted of her son Alfred AVET, formerly residing in the Parish of Iberville, LA. January 25, 1868.

NOTICE: All persons having claims against the estate of Augustus S. CLEMENT, dec'd are requested to present same. Constance BREAUX, Parish of Iberville, January 23, 1868

SUCCESSION: Parish of Iberville. Estate of Gustane LAUVE. Sale of property belonging to Gustane LAUVE dec'd, and his surviving widow Laura DUPUY. Bayou Plaqumine. Sale date: Febuary 4, 1868. Notice dated: January 24, 1868.

DEATH: Henry TIMROD, A most gifted Southern Poet, was buried in Columbia, SC on 8th January 1868. He was 37 years of age.

DISTRICT COURT: January term (1868) In the case of "State of Louisiana" vs. Joseph WALSH, Indicted for the murder of Emile BLANCHARD. Jury found in favor of defendant. J.C. STAFFORD, district attorney for the state and Judge William B. ROBENTSON for the defendant.

PLAQUEMINE, LA SAT. FEB. 1, 1868 WEEKLY IBERVILLE SOUTH

JUDGEMENT: Parish of Iberville, fifth judicial district court. Judgement .rendered on 23 day of January 1868 that Jean LABOYE, Sr. do have a separation from bed and board with Aurelia RICHARDS and that said Jean LABOYE, Sr. do have care and guardianship of his children: Ida, Theodore, and William or Wiley and that defendant pay cost of suit. signed) R.T. POSEY. Judge 5th district court. Jan 23, 1868. (She failed to respond to summons.)

SUCCESSION: Parish of Ibervill. Estate of Antoine NADEAU, dec'd. Sale to be 7 Mar 1868. Lands he aouired from Laurent MILLAUDEN' on 5 of October 1860.  Notice: January 31, 1868.
