SUCCESSION:
Parish of East Baton Rouge, Sale of plantation of Mary Elise BUSH,
dec'd in parish of Iberville on the right bank on the river
Mississippi about 12 miles below town of Plaquemine. Bounded by
lands belonging to heirs of Mrs. Ernest Comeaux, dec'd. Mary Elise
BASH dec'd acquired the land at the sale of the succession of her
husband, Janvier ALLAIN Febuary 28, 1860. Seven-eights cash
the rest payable when the minor Alphonse Daigre becomes of age or is

DIED: December 16, 1868 Madame ROLIN, widow of Francois AVET, a
native of Recouvance, Department des Ardennes, France. Information
wanted of her son Alfred AVET, formerly residing in the Parish of
Iberville, LA. January 25, 1868.

DEATH: Henry
TIMROD, A most gifted Southern Poet, was buried in Columbia, SC on
8th January 1868. He was 37 years of age.

WALSH, Indicted for the murder of Emile BLANCHARD. Jury found in
favor of defendant. J.C. STAFFORD, district attorney for the state
and Judge William B. ROBENTSON for the defendant.

JUDGEMENT:
Parish of Iberville, fifth judicial district court. Judgement
.rendered on 23 day of January 1868 that Jean LABOYE, Sr. do have a
separation from bed and board with Aurelia RICHARDS and that said
Jean LABOYE, Sr. do have care and guardianship of his children: Ida,
Theodore, and William or Wiley and that defendant pay cost of suit.
