This cemetery is located on the river road from New Roads to LaBarre, Louisiana about eight miles from the town of New Roads. This community is sometime known as Pointe Coupee. The ground for Chapel and Cemetery was given by the LABATUT family and when the church at Bayou Sarah finally went into the Mississippi, the bodies of Mrs. and Mrs. John Pierre Labatut were brought and placed in a large tomb erected to the left and directly to back of the Chapel.
