Mason RecorderRecorded 15the Feb 1876 in Book No.3 of Mortgages, page 233 State of Louisiana (Parish of Catahoula } Be it Known and Remember that in this 15th day of Feby,1876, in pursuance to and by virtue of Commission issued from the Home Parish Court of the Parish of Catahoula and to the undersigned directed.I.L. Gip Duke a notary public in and for the Parish Catahoula as aforesaid did proceed at my office in the town of Harrisonburg to make an Inventory and Cause to be appraised by R.L. Brooks and James M. Baker competent persons duly appointed sworn according to law, all the property real and personal rightsand credits belonging to and comprising the Estate and Succession of Elizabeth Baker. Siutate lying and being in the Parish of Catahoula, an account of which is as follows to wit:The interest of four minor heirs to wit:Isaac L. Baker, Jr. James Elias Baker, Sarah Emeline & John Baker, minor heirsof Elizabeth Baker being the one half interest and to $1116.22 with 5 per cent interest from 29th Dec 1842, being the amount of Poraphernial property of said Elizabeth Baker inherited from the Successionof her father, Elias Carter and by Isaac L. Baker for his own account.Appraised to: $1478.97And not knowing or being informed of any other property belonging to said succession, I have cleared this Inventory accounting in the aggregate to Fourteen hundred and seventy eight 97/100 dollars.In Testimony therefor I have caused said appraisers to sign this instrument in presence of the two subscribing witnesses and me, Notary in the day and date above written attest.R.L.
