Cecil Hubert Sanders, 64, died suddenly Saturday, September 8 about 12:45 p.m.
at his home of a heart attack. He was a retired farmer and cattleman.
Born on October 27, 1897 in Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Sanders moved to Claiborne
Parish with his family, when he was a lad of 14 years, and had lived at his
present home for the past fifty years. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church and the Cattleman’s Association.
Funeral services were held
Sunday, September 9 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of the First National Funeral Home
with Rev. George M. Hall, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment followed in the Arlington Cemetery.
Survivors are his widow;
one daughter, Mrs. Floyd Rowell and two grandchildren, Robert Earl and Keith
Rowell, all of Homer; two sisters, Mrs. Marion McKenzie of Bossier City and Mrs.
Helen Crowe of Minden; two brothers, K. R. Sanders of Ringgold and Jimmy Sanders
of Shreveport.
