In the spirit of the
"Historic Claiborne" books published in the 1960s-70s, the Claiborne Parish
History Club has prepared a new collection of articles on local history.
Historic Claiborne 2020 contains 32 articles written by eight local authors. In sections
titled "Crime & the Law," "Military," "Communities, Churches & Cemeteries,"
"Personalities," and "Uniquely Claiborne," you will find stories of long
lost villages, desperate outlaws, mystery creatures, local inventors, and
early sports figures. The History Club is proud to partner with the
Claiborne Parish Library to present this fascinating look at our colorful
past. $20 each while they last! An extra $5 if mailed. Available at the
Claiborne Parish Library, 909 Edgewood Drive, Homer, LA 71040. Make checks
payable to Claiborne Parish History Club or use Paypal to
