William Myers

LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for William "Bill" Myers, 87, of Lake Arthur were at
10 a.m. today, Nov. 11, from Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

The Rev. Gerard Smit, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Andrus Cove Cemetery under
direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Myers died at 9 p.m. Wednesday in Welsh General Hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of the Lowry-Lake Arthur area and a retired farmer and cattleman.
He was a World War I Veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. France Shultz of Jennings, one son Ernest R. Myers of
Lake Arthur; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Theriot of Franklin, Mrs. Dolly Keuhing of Abbeville,
and Mrs. Lena Cessac of Vidor, Texas; two brothers, Joe Mayrd of Abbeville and Robert Mayard
of Kaplan; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
