Note John died in 1927
and he and his wife Amanda J. Walker are buried at the Oak Grove
Cemetery in Grant Parish, LA. All his children were born in LA and

My grandfather
Elijah R. Valentine was licensed to preach in Grant Parish, LA on
July 6, 1889. I have the small bible which he used when he
preached.
