26th Louisiana Infantry, Co. I

Naquin, Ozeme -enlisted in the 26th Louisiana infantry, at the age of 18 years, and served the cause of the Southern Confederacy with distinguished valor for 4 years, during which time he participated in several notable engagements, including the memorable siege of Vicksburg.

Toups, Prosper -1861 joined the Twenty-sixth Louisiana infantry company, in which he served until captured at the siege of  Vicksburg.  He then came home on parole and remained there until cessation of hostilities.  He was in the battle of Chickasaw Bayou and the entire siege of Vicksburg.
