Pierre Boudreaux

My 3x great-grandfather served under this regiment. His full names was Jean Pierre Boudreaux he ended up marrying Rosema Bourg. They left LaFourche Crossing after the Civil War and ended up in Iberia Parish having my 2x great-grandfather Octave Boudreaux b. 1868 the first of my Boudreaux Clan from Iberia Parish where I was raised. They mostly settled in the area between New Iberia and Delcambre in a place called Petite Anse in the community of Derouen. Both Pierre and Octave are buried at Broussard Cemetery in that community. The Cemetery is located coming from New Iberia go on Hwy. 14 to Lee Station Rd.until you get to Migues Rd. Turn on Migues Rd. and you should see the Cemetery to the left hand side of the road.

BOUDREAUX, Pierre (also BOUDRAUX) Pvt. Co. I 26th La. Inf. EN:15 MAR 1862, Thibodaux, La.

Present on Rolls to OCT 1862. Appears on Roll of POW's, Captured and paroled at Vicksburg, Ms. on 4 JUL 1863.

Appears on list of Confederate prisoners in Lafourche, La. Paroled and Exchanged on 23 FEB 1864. "Has not taken the Oath." Sent to Red River Landing for exchange on 23 OCT 1864.
